Why I blog, and stripes

When you struggle to get up in the morning and can barely think straight – never mind pick out what you’ll wear – you go for something that does not need ironing. Oh, and tights.

Top: YDE
Tights: Pure
Shoes: Franco Gemelli
Bag: China Town
Earrings: Sass Diva
Lipstick: Rimmel 340 – Lily Extase
These came out a little bright, making me look pale – but that’s ok. Right?
I’d like to quote the very cute Piril Maria – because I’m still a little self-conscious about having a personal style blog and this is exactly how I feel:
“I am not the biggest fashion knower out there. Just a regular person, a girl, who enjoys wearing nice clothing. Who doesn’t? Yes, I do look at the trends. Yes, I do like to dress up and look at the mirror and like what I see. Who doesn’t? I simply like to blog and I feel like this is a nice place to share ideas.”
I’ve had a passion for fashion, and I think an innate style, forever. Blogging has helped me to be more aware of my appearance, and also play with fashion. This (not so) little community also offers a platform to borrow ideas from others. No matter your wardrobe, you can look good. Clothing is definitely not the be-all and end-all of life, but the power it has cannot be denied. You tell the world about yourself every time you show up.

Thanks for reading,

  3. It's so cool that you live in Johannesburg! I was in Tanzania recently (not to clump African countries together at all, but the two cultures are probably more similar than yours and mine (in the U.S.). I know exactly what you mean about blogging, I feel that it's quite inane and trivial sometimes but I still love it. Thanks for the lovely comment, I really appreciate it!
