ELLE New Talent Fashion Show

We rushed home from work last night to get ready for the first night of SA Fashion Week Winter 2012; the ELLE/Mr Price New Talent Show.

Shoes (mine and the girl’s behind me, ha!): Mr Price; Jeans: China Town; Top: Mr Price; Blazer: Identity; Bag: Thrifted; Jewelry: Gifted

I rsvp’d late for this one so the seated space was full and we ended up in the gallery, which worked out great because I had the best view of the ramp. See below for a hefty display of my favorites from each of the designers. I won’t comment on each picture, because I simply love them all!
Amber Jones, previous winner with her ice cream coloured fantasy!

Cleo Droomer, 2010 winner with his pvc ensembles and gorgeous structure!

Danielle Hartman, finalist with her wearable and neutral pallette

I absolutely loved Danielle’s dress below. Dreamy!

Charl JVR, finalist who I remember for his bright tights and great shapes!

Lameez Claasen, finalist with her sustainable pieces

Sammantha Constable, finalist with her showstopping black-and-whites!

I adored this, below. How great are those pants!

Anneke Koster, finalist with blues and reds

And my favorite finalist, Khumo Manota with his playful variety

I liked it so much that I had to meet Khumo.
Then, Kutloano Molokomme, the finalist with Indian inspiration!

Last of the finalists, and the winner of the Mr Price/Elle New Talent Search
Kelly Esterhuyse with her knitwear

Well done, Kelly! The judges loved the detail of her knitwear – I’m sure it demonstated the theme ‘show us your pattern’ perfectly!
Thank you for coming by. I’ll be at some more shows this weekend and will tell all on Monday!
