This week, I’m particularly thankful for my new job. I’m more settled into some sort of routine and I feel so productive. An obvious thing to be grateful for is the fact that I get to spend more time with Isaiah than in the past couple of months. At the end of my “work day” I don’t have to contend with traffic – that’s time now reserved for my son. I know that I’m incredibly blessed, and most moms are juggling a crazy day – and that’s why I’m thankful.
I’m also just loving my job. My previous jobs too. I’ve been blessed to be in the industry I love. I remember, back at school, telling people I want to write, and I remember their discouragement – instead insisting that I pursue a “real job” because “writing is a hobby”. I’m so glad I followed my heart. It’s true, you’ll never work a day in your life if you love what you do.
And so, I encourage you to pursue your dreams. Sometimes it’s a huge sacrifice – but there’s great reward in being true to yourself.
Thank you for coming by!
