Content

con·tent1
kənˈtent/
adjective
  1. 1.
in a state of peaceful happiness.
I had it wrong. I guess in my mind being content meant that you had become complacent. But I understand now what it really means to be content, because that’s what I am. I don’t know what the future holds, and of course I have many unconquered mountains and unfulfilled goals, but I’m content with life. I know who I am, I know that I have unique purpose and, ultimately, I know that there’s only so much that I can control. And so, I’m satisfied – and I’m incredibly thankful. I think that is the key to being content. A thankful heart brings a joy that is unmatched, no matter the circumstance.
“I have learned in whatsoever state I am in therewith to be content.”  Phillippians 4:11
