Pregnancy Update – 18 Weeks

Thank you for all the well wishes! We’re so excited to be having another baby.

A baby bump and pregnancy talk go hand-in-hand, so expect updates – awkward and all. I have a feeling things are going to be a lot more awkward this time around. I mean, look at me, this is only 18 weeks and this bump feels quite big.
Unlike with Isaiah, I haven’t had daily morning sickness – just three or four really bad days, where I’m practically in bed all day fighting headaches and nausea. During the first trimester, I was tired all the time, and felt like a zombie for most of it. Breakouts is another symptom I’m not used to, while sore and bleeding gums came around again.
On the plus side, I have boobs again! Now that I know what happens post-baby, I’m going to enjoy this while I can, ha! Good nails and hair also deserve to be noted.
Despite the weird changes, I really enjoy being pregnant. This is an incredible miracle, and we feel so blessed. It’s so undeserved and we thank God every single day!

  1. I'm so glad you're having these “awkward” posts on the blog. I feel like I can relate to them.
I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. When you announced your pregnancy it made me feel good about talking about mine because at first I couldn't deal with people asking me questions about my weight gain and bloated tummy.
I've had a weird but wonderful experience, at 12 weeks I had a very itchy rash all over my body but now I'm recovering. Regardless of everything that has happened so far hubby and I are blessed and we can't wait for our little one.
Thank you so much and keep them posts coming.

  2. You look great. I did not that stylish when I was pregnant! Any thoughts about doing a pregnancy capsule wardrobe? I first started reading your blog when I was trying to find my style again post baby (still working on that!). I just finished putting together a “winter” wardrobe. I am from Canada and the SA winters feel like fall/spring to me (which I love!).

I loved the post you did with the ten items of clothing. Also, your blog has taught me where to shop in SA.

Anyways, keep up the awesome work!
