My Instagram Life: Makeup Edition

Okay so I’m cheating again by posting some Instagram snapshots, but I haven’t done a beauty post in

a while and makeup has been on my mind a lot (your focus shifts like that when clothes betray you!) so I thought I’d share some of what’s new or I really love.
The above shot is of my makeup storage after reworking it a bit today. I used to have all my makeup in the storage from 27 Pinkx but it just felt so full (because it was so full), so I decided to clear out my sunglasses from the vanity drawers and use it for makeup. In the process I actually got rid of a few stuff that I just wasn’t using.

I took advantage of Dishem‘s Beauty Fair LA Girl promo (3 for 2) recently and got concealer, too many Matte Lipglosses, a blush palette and eyeshadow palette (said to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked3 palette). The Beauty Fair ends tomorrow! Look out for reviews of these products soon. Well, hopefully.
I’m sure this eyeshadow made it onto the blog before. I just love it so much and use it everyday. It’s Antiqued Veluxe Pearl from Mac and it’s perfect for everyday use or for a bolder eye if you build the colour.
After ample good reviews on the Real Techniques brushes, I picked up a few. I got the two sets, the expert face brush, blush brush and sponge blender. I’m enjoying these so so much – it’s worth the hype. It’s available at selected Foschini and Clicks stores.
Here are a few swatches of the LA Girl Matte Lipglosses. They stay on forever, but having worn these almost everyday since I got them I can tell you it’s tougher to remove from your arm than your lips!
This image I shared on my Instagram a while ago. Just a shot of practically every blush I have. I love them all. Mac’s Melba and Chanel’s 82 Reflex are my faves though.
What are your current beauty faves? If you’ve tried something recently that you think I must have, please let me know. I’m in the mood! 🙂
