Hey guys. Finally, a post on Zachary’s room! It’s been in the pipeline forever and I just had to get it out. Zachary’s nearly a year and a half and we’ll move him in with Isaiah soon – then this room will change! He doesn’t even sleep in this room so… (that’s a story for a different post!)
I wanted to create a simple room – with elements that aren’t limited to the baby stage. I didn’t have a particular theme in mind, but chose grey and white as a base with pops of colour – much like the rest of the house.
The room is incredibly small so that was a challenge, and further motivation to keeps things simple. A big space solution was to move the dresser into the built-in wardrobe and remove the doors. This created a practical open “closet” – and stores everything.
Heavy outerwear hangs while the drawers keep all other clothing. Things we reach for often,
like nappies, are kept on a shelf. We use baskets to separate things like blankets, towels, bibs, shoes, etc. It keeps things easily accessible, without the eyesore of loads of stuff.
Have a look.
